SUPERANTISPYWARE ident as TR/Fakealert.BZ

Good morning... it appears that the legitimate SUPERANTISPYWARE is beind ID'd as TR/Fakealert.BZ. As a regular user of both Avira personal and SuperAntiSpyware, I assume this is a recent anomaly. Anyone else encounter this?

Virus or unwanted program 'TR/Fakealert.BZ [trojan]'
detected in file 'C:\Program Files\SUPERAntiSpyware\SUPERANTISPYWARE.EXE.
Action performed: Deny access

Best Regards,
Mike

Go to our virus lab and submit this sample
Select File type: False positive (not malware). If the result is false positive the detection of this file will be remove in a future vdf.
You can add this file to exceptions and you will not be prompt again by the "virus/false positive" in this file, better to do this after you get a response from our Virus Lab.

To add an exception you have to do:
Right clik on the tray icon > configure antivir > tick expert > guard > scan > exception
same for scanner.

Hi,

Just wanted to update SAS and Avira alerted about TR/Fakealert.BZ in SuperAntiSpyware.exe. Yes, it is FP for sure, but with the latest IVDF, the detection still persists :whistling: (I mean 7.01.06.209)
